November's schedule is starting to fill up, the traditions we look forward to are taking shape, and there's a growing list of things you'd like to get done before the holidays arrive. Between shorter days, seasonal gatherings, and all the little extras this time of year brings, it's easy to get caught up in the momentum and forget to check in with yourself.
Before the season gets into full swing, here are five simple ways to give yourself a little extra support.
1. Make Hydration a Little Easier
Drinking enough water doesn't need to become another item on your to-do list. Sometimes a few small reminders throughout the day are all it takes to be more consistent.
Keep a glass of water handy alongside your morning coffee.
Bring a water bottle along for the drive or errands.
Take a few sips whenever you're in the kitchen.
Add citrus, cucumber, berries, or mint if plain water isn't your favorite.
Include water-rich foods like oranges, cucumbers, and soups.
And remember, water isn't the only source of hydration. Other beverages and foods contribute, too. Your needs will vary depending on your activity, environment, and overall health.
2. Give Yourself a Change of Scenery
Sometimes a reset doesn't require a whole afternoon off. A few minutes away from your usual routine can help you feel refreshed and ready to refocus.
Step outside for some fresh air, take a short walk, enjoy lunch away from your screen, or simply pause between tasks. It doesn't have to be a big production. A little breathing room can go a long way.
3. Make a Few Things Automatic
Decision fatigue is real, especially as the holidays get closer. What's for dinner? What should I bring? What should I get done first? Did I remember to order that thing? Even small decisions add up quickly when there's already a lot competing for your attention.
A little planning ahead can make busy days easier. Create a few simple routines or automatic options to spend less time figuring out the little things and save your mental energy for what matters most.
Keep easy meals on rotation. Pick two or three lunches and dinners you can fall back on without much thought. Or keep a couple of freezer meals on hand for nights when cooking isn't happening.
Decide where to start tomorrow. Before wrapping up work or calling it a night, choose one thing to tackle first the next day. One less decision to make when you get started.
Make mornings a little easier. Set out what you'll wear, pack your bag, or put the things you need by the door the night before.
Give your phone a few boundaries. Turn off nonessential notifications or choose a couple of times to check messages instead of responding to every alert as it comes in.
You don't have to organize your entire life or stick to a rigid routine. Just find a few decisions you can make once instead of making over and over again. A little less mental clutter can leave more room for everything else.
4. Give Yourself a Little Extra Antioxidant Support
Holiday fun comes with a few extras: richer meals, more sweets, celebratory drinks, late nights, and a calendar that seems to fill up overnight. Even the good stuff—happy chaos—can add to the demands on your system. Stress is stress, regardless of where it comes from, and the body responds to it all.
That's where glutathione comes in. Often called the body's master antioxidant, glutathione is naturally produced in the liver and plays an important role in protecting cells from oxidative stress and supporting normal liver detoxification processes. It's part of the body's built-in defense system, working behind the scenes every day.
During seasons when life gets a little more demanding—holidays included—supplemental glutathione may be worth considering for additional antioxidant support. While oral supplements are an option, absorption can vary. Injections and IV delivery offer a more direct way to receive glutathione support.
We offer glutathione injections on their own or as an add-on to most of our IV therapies at The IV Method. We also see an uptick in appointments around mid-November as people start looking for a little extra support heading into the holidays. Consider getting on the calendar before both yours and ours fill up with holiday plans and appointments.
5. Leave a Little Room in the Day
Not every moment needs to be scheduled, productive, or accounted for. As calendars start filling up, try leaving a little space between commitments or keeping an evening open when you can.
Enjoy a slower morning, take the scenic route, spend a few minutes outside, or let something wait until tomorrow. The season goes by quickly. It's worth leaving yourself a little room to enjoy it.
You've got a lot going on this season. Remember to make a little room for yourself, too.
